4 outlaws held

Police arrested four outlaws of banned Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) including its regional leader from Bagmara upazila early yesterday.

 

Ranajit Kumar Mondol, a regional PBCP leader was caught from Baroipara village, said the police.

 

Other arrestees are – Monirul Islam, 30, Raju Ahmed, 26 of Taherpur and Rafikul Islam, 40 of Bamonkoya villages in Bagmara. Police said, they are top-listed outlaws.

 

Tipped off, several police teams led by officer-in-charge of Bagmara police station Mirza Golam Sarwar caught them from their respective houses.

 

Ranajit was accused in several cases including murder of Omar, an associate of militants. He was evading arrest for last several years, said the police.

 

OC Mirza Golam Sarwar said, police was continuing haunt against the outlaws so that the outlaws can not spring up following recent crackdown on the militants.
